Theresa Burns is the author of the poetry collection Design (2022) and the chapbook Two Train Town (2017). Her poetry, reviews, and nonfiction have appeared in The New York Times, Prairie Schooner, New Ohio Review, Verse Daily, Plume, and elsewhere. For nearly 20 years, Burns worked as a nonfiction book editor in New York and Boston, specializing in psychology, parenting, and cultural and social history. The winner of the 2023 New Jersey Poet’s Prize and a Pushcart Prize nominee, Burns is the founder of the community-based reading series Watershed Literary Events and teaches writing in and around New York.
