Frank, our science consultant for Channel Pi, is an outreach astrophysicist at the Space Telescope Science Institute in Baltimore, MD. For more than two decades, he has contributed to all aspects of the Hubble and Webb Space Telescope press, education, and outreach through news media, web sites, educational programs, social media, museums and planetariums. His specialty is creating accurate and aesthetic scientific visualizations by combining research data and computer simulations with Hollywood rendering techniques. His credits include over 60 visualizations, over 10 million YouTube views, 4 IMAX films, and a Guinness World Record. He first became involved with CarnerTales while working as a curator for the rebirth of the Hayden Planetarium in New York City. When not envisioning and elucidating the universe, he is likely to be found on a disc golf course.
