Meet Aia Ing, a plucky alien girl from the peaceful planet Alciana, and Chester Round, a lovable, awkward boy from Oklahoma. When Aia accidentally discovers television from Earth and beams a message back, Chester unexpectedly receives it.

At lightspeed, two kids from the far reaches of the Milky Way become fated friends.

In this interstellar series—much of it rooted in real science—Aia and Chester embark on a journey of self-discovery, find their voices, and face down the powerful forces that have brought their worlds to the brink of destruction. To save both, they must travel to each other’s planets and find a way to unite Alciana and Earth, before it’s too late.

But at its heart, Channel Pi is about understanding and empathy for those who are different. And that just might be the key to saving the galaxy!

Book One: An Alien at Home follows 13-cycle-old Aia, a gifted empath living on a planet struggling to survive after years of environmental abuse. When Aia and her grandmother Avina start recording Earth’s TV signals, Aia feels an instant connection to humans. But Avina dies unexpectedly, and Aia must delve into a jungle overgrown by carnivorous plants in quest of an ancient amulet. In facing her fears and learning she’s stronger than she thinks, she unlocks her powers and embraces her destiny.
